End of Season Dinner "A huge success"

Awards at the Annual Dinner
We caught up with Social Secretary Callum Wood after the 2015 Annual Dinner to find out how it went.

Awards, achievements and alcohol all taking equal part in what was to be one of the best Annual Dinner evenings so far.

The 2015 Annual Dinner was majorly delayed. What would normally occur in the few months after the last game of the season in September, actually ended up taking place the first weekend of the 2016 season (Friday 6th May to be exact). However this did not cause concern for our newly appointed social secretary Callum Wood who took it as an opportunity to kick start the new season in style.

The Royal Wells Hotel was the venure for what was to be an historic evening. We caught up with Callum to see how he thought it had gone.

"It was fantastic evening in the end, with the new season looming it was a great chance to get the senior club together and really celebrate a superb year for both our senior sides.

"The awards always go down a treat but we were lucky enough to organise a few guest appearances, live streaming an acceptance video from University halls in Exeter being a personal highlight.

"Fines money collected by both sides throughout the season provided a few rounds of drinks for everyone, the 'wives and girlfriends' were welcomed to take part in our annual bottle shot competition and as always the evening descended into anarchy the minute we let the overseas anywhere near the vodka. So in my opinion a fantastic evening was had by all and I hope it set the tone for the season to come."

We will hear more from Callum as the season goes on as I'm sure there will be plenty more socials planned for the 2016 season.
